TETRA RADIO SYSTEM

ON PREMISES

Tetra (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) is a radio standard that was developed in Europe back in 1995. The development of this standard was the need of the security sector for a new, robust, scalable and safe high-capacity radio system that would replace previously widely used analog radio systems.

The Tetra standard was created with the aim of being suitable primarily for the public safety sector of a country as a national radio system (police, military, security services and agencies, fire services and ambulance services). After almost 30 years, this functional radio system is still widely used around the world.

Despite some new radio communication technologies, this now very mature technology has proven to be an indispensable way of communication of the aforementioned services in almost every country in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

As the system has been developing for almost three decades, due to its popularity, it has found its way to commercial users, which has expanded its use to include airport and rail systems, refineries, oil production, mines, etc.

This expansion enabled manufacturers, such as our partner Motorola Solutions, to reach new markets, thus being able to finance the further development and improvement of Tetra radio system.
