RADIO SYSTEM WAVE PTX

Functional radio systems with their popularity have dominated the market for almost 100 years. However, there is a part of the market and a certain group of users who would like to implement this type of communication in their business processes, but they are prevented from investing in infrastructure.
This investment involves the construction of a repeater site (or more if it is necessary to cover a larger territory). Also, this includes radio licenses that states charge annually (because these radio systems operate in the license range) as well as a maintenance budget.
With the advancement of mobile telephony technology and increasing the speed of transmission, manufacturers have been given the opportunity to develop an application platform that would have the same capabilities as functional radio systems. The good thing about this approach is that the mobile network practically covers the entire territory of the country, and there is no investment in the infrastructure of the radio system.
As these systems use data transmission, it is possible to use them from any point in the world, but provided that the user's device is connected to the Internet in some way.
The disadvantage of this approach is that the user depends on the availability of mobile telephony services, i.e. internet access, which further indicates that such a system is ideal for users who:
- They don't want to invest in infrastructure.
- Whose business system is within range of mobile telephony or WiFi signals
Since it is an application platform, these systems can provide even more functionality compared to a classic radio system, such as video transmission, sending images, geo positioning of users on the map.
All of the above has been transformed by our partner Motorola Solutions into a Wave PTX solution. This is a cloud solution that works on the principle of subscription, and is available on all mobile platforms (Android, iOS, Browser).
The advantage of cloud solutions is that the user does not have to worry about the system infrastructure. His only concern is how the user's device will access the Internet (Mobile Telephony and/or WiFi).

The system is largely composed of cloud infrastructure, which is fully taken care of by Motorola. One part of the platform consists of user applications and dedicated user devices, which are again manufactured according to the same principles as all other radio stations offered by Motorola in DMR or Tetra radio systems. In this way, all those functionalities that existing users love about radio stations are retained, and new users find very practical and easy to use.
