FUNCTIONAL RADIO SYSTEMS

ON PREMISES

This type of radio communication system, known worldwide as Two-way Radio, is one of the most widespread communication systems for professional use. The history of nearly 100 years puts these radio systems among the most common communications systems ever.

The first functional radio system (two-way radio) was launched back in 1939. when the Galvin Manufacturing Corporation (est.1928) developed a solution for the Chicago Police Department.

This analog system was an incredible success, and soon spread to all similar services throughout North America. In 1947, the Galvin brothers' success led to the formation of a company known to this day as the Motorola Inc.

The advantages of this communication system over the others that appeared later (mobile telephony), and which are in use today, are reflected primarily in their purpose.

Although mobile phone systems have taken over the world and are currently the primary mode of communication in everyday life, their application is widespread commercial use, and the purpose from the point of view of the service provider is to bring the operator as much profit as possible. Therefore, the operator is put in the foreground, and the second user of the service.

You can see this in case when you are talking and suddenly the connection is disconnected. The operator bears no liability or penalties for such a poor service. Investing in capacity is just enough for the service to operate with a minimum degree of warranty.

On the other hand, professional users require a communication system where the service is guaranteed, and service is always available. Disconection should not be an option, because in critical situations, seconds decide someone's life.

This is the biggest difference between professional radio systems (Functional radio systems) in relation to mobile telephony – service is always available.

Another difference (and advantage) is the possibility of a group call, where one speaks and everyone in the group listens. This way, everyone in the group is immediately informed and knows what is going on.

The third and most important difference is the connection speed (60ms). This speed has not been surpassed by any system to date, and this functionality is the reason why professional users rely on this radio system before any other.

The fourth is that this system is purposefully designed for professional use where the devices are designed to last for years, to be easily serviced, to be accompanied by a large portfolio of accessories and to be resistant to all operating conditions (dirt, water, temperature, explosive zones, etc.).

Techgroup za svoje klijente može da implementira dve vrste radio sistema: Tetra i DMR radio sistem.

Since tetra radio system is used by public services, there are fewer opportunities for its application, while DMR is widespread and the capabilities of this system are adapted to the needs of a larger number of users
